I Don't Wanna Go!!!

Gah, I have to leave early to go on this Family Reunion vacation in Oregon. We were supposed to leave Saturday, but my dear old father decided to extend the vacation so that we asre leaving today and not getting back intil July 30. That means over a week of boredom in the freezing cold in a cramped house.

Now I'm rushing to get everything done by the time we leave tonight. Letters, packing, appointments, packages I need to ship off, and my various odd jobs around town.

You may wonder, why would Ashley not want to go to Koos Bay and be outdoors-y? Well, I like the outdoors plenty, when I'm actually outside doing things. We clam in the morning and watch the men drink beer all day while the women have to do the shopping, cooking, cleaning, and taking care of my evil little second cousins: Racer, Blazer, and Chaser. Yes, those are actually their names. No joke. Plus, I'm the only one of my age there. Everyone else is a decade or two younger or older. Except Amy, who is 13. Woot.
Another reason is that my last flare up of my Ulcerative Colitis started there and lasted MONTHS! Not a good memory.

To try and combat the boredom and drugery of this vacation, I'm taking up about $3,000 of sewing materials and a pamplet of hte Ashland Shakespeare Festival. Maybe I can coerse them into letting me take a bus down. I would much rather injoy that.
